Is reflexology or massage safe or beneficial for discoid lupas?

I'm an esthetician and a client of mine has discoid lupas, but she doesn't see a doc. for it , she choses alternative methods and I know very little about the disease.

1. I would doubt it. Massage, Reflexology, and Chiropractic practices can be very effective for many physical problems, and many problems caused by physical inaccuracies (like a pinched nerve)..... but Lupus is an autoimmune disease. In that, the immune system is over-reacting and is actually breaking down the body to a point as if it were a disease or virus. Only chemical changes (nutritional products, drugs, etc) would really be able to help something like that... physical manipulations wouldn't really touch it. Good luck to the both of you!
