Reflexology/ spleen question! please help!?

I'm looking into reflexology and i was massaging the spleen (and liver as well) section of my wifes hands and feet, both parts where hurting pretty severely. I have been working on them for the last week and they have been getting better. But im jsut worried about them, do you guys know what could be wrong?

You may have overworked these points to the extent that the body is protecting the reflex area by making it very sore. Spend no more than 1-3 minutes on each reflex area over the next few days - work the entire foot but be very gentle. Let the body take in the messages and process it.
