Acupuncture? I am due to have acupuncture for a problem I have had with my neck. I am on strong Solpadol tablets so wanted a natural remedy to help me and am booked in for acupuncture. But am a bit scared because last time I had acupuncture for something different I fainted (please note, I am not scared of needles at all - it was the chilled out feeling it gave me that made me dizzy and faint). Had anyone else had this? Is it a good ides to try it again? Just wanted to confirm I am not paying for my acupuncture - it is on the NHS.

Anyone use acupuncture treatments to help with your injuries? Just curious to see how many of you out there have tried it. It totally helped me to get the swelling down when I cracked my knee cap (the orthopaedic doctor said it would stay swollen for a long time). And it helped me with my torn quad muscle (which never seemed to heal until I had acupuncture treatments). The treatments were quite relaxing with zero pain. How does acupuncture help aniexty? Does it really help? I have aniexty about sleep, stress, medications etc. Mostly chronic knots in my stomach. I take medications but they only do so much good. Has anyone been constantly cold after acupuncture? Also have nerve issues to deal with. Two surgeries in two years; want to look for alternatives as I do not want to have surgery again & I cannot deal with the pain on a constant battle. It interferes with my activity, exercise, job, sleep, etc.

Who can tell me where I will study further my acupuncture? I am interesting in acupuncture, so I get my certification from American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine last year, now have clinic. I hope more patients get well from my clinic, so I want to good school to further my acupuncture practice.

Is it normal to hurt MORE after the first visit for acupuncture? I've had lower back problems for several years (disc/nerve problems), tried chiropractic care, physical therapy, etc. Have been wanting to try Acupuncture for some time now, and finally did yesterday. But today, I'm hurting a hundred times worse. Is this normal? This is chronic pain, not acute. I know it takes more than one visit to help with chronic pain. I also know that with acute pain, it relieves it pretty much immediately. So my question was referring to chronic conditions, as to if it's normal to hurt a lot more the following day, practually unable to walk. (thanks melanie)
