Natural Ways To Induce Labor - Acupressure Guide That Works? I'm looking for a proven effective guide on the benefits of acupressure in pregnancy and safe ways to induce labor at home.

Is it safe to use acupressure to induce labor? I am 38 weeks pregnant and dialated to 2 and thinned out 50 percent. I used acupressure to induce labor with my first child a little after 39 weeks. i was just wondering if you think it would be safe to induce at 38 weeks or if i should wait a little longer? my doctor seems okay with me going into labor now but just wanted others opinions.

Has anyone used Maternity Acupressure to go into labor? I become full term at the end of next month and my mother wants to drive up to be at the hospital during the labor. I would like to try to use acupressure when I become full term that way the labor is planned/prepared for and I can let my mother know to drive since it will take her 8 hours to get here. My sister in law is trying to induce labor with acupressure, how long...? does she need to do it for in order for it to be effective. She is doing the webbing between her thumb and index finger and a place down on her ankle. We know you are supposed to rub for a few minutes or until you get a contraction but when do you repeat and how often and how long. Anyone with experience. who has used acupressure to go into labor and it worked? iv bin in labor 2 times now. not so fun. the first time was at 33 weeks and it took them two shots and lots of pills to make it stop. then i went into labor last sunday. i was having lots of contractions and very regular. i was a two. I got to a good 4 almost 5. but they stopped because the nurse gave me a shot of pain medication and it didnt really do anything so they gave a shot or morphene. wich made my cervix stop dilating even though i was having so many contractions. i was very upset that they gave me this shot because i didn't even know what it was until after she gave it to me. i didn't ask for pain medication. but anyways. i am ready for this baby to come out. i have contractions everyday but not painful. i am 4-5cm dilated and around 75% effaced. i was wundring if anyone has used acupressure or anything else to get labor started? did it work? also if you are wundering i am full- term.

Acupressure to help induce labor? I'm now 39 wks and was told by my MW yesterday after my vaginal exam that it seems like I could go over due for at least a week b/c tere isn'r much going on down there. I'm in no rush to have this baby but I would'nt want to be too overdue either. I have a lady coming to my home to give me a session of acupressure and see if tat at least helps a little with helping baby come down. Has anyone had this done? Did it help at all?.
