I have heard about maternity acupressure to start labor, but i can't find how to do it on the internet without buying a book or movie or somethin.Does anyone know step by step in detail how to do it, or where i can find out how? did you try it and did it work? please help.

What do you think of maternity acupressure? I have recently found an e-book on using acupressure during your pregnancy and how it works. I have looked into all sorts of alternate methods in pregnancy and childbirth. This seems to be the best that I have found. Has anyone used Maternity Acupressure to go into labor? I become full term at the end of next month and my mother wants to drive up to be at the hospital during the labor. I would like to try to use acupressure when I become full term that way the labor is planned/prepared for and I can let my mother know to drive since it will take her 8 hours to get here. I've researched it a lot on the internet but I just want to hear from other people whether they have experienced it or not and if it's safe, etc.

Anyway, I just started using it a few minutes ago and was wondering if anybody has had any experience using this book. Did it help you? Acupressure to induce labor, have u had it done, and did it work? Im 38 weeks, I had a maternity massage done today and she did all the pressure points that are suppose to stimilate labor within a few days. Have any of you had this done and did it work?

What is a Guaranteed way to induce labor at home? I've tried everything!!!!? My baby is sitting right on my Sciatic nerve and next to labor it's one of the most painful things I've ever felt, so I just want this baby out, she's a pretty good size according to my Dr. I need pointers on what to do as far as getting labor started. Anyone know how i can induce my own labor naturally? I am currently 39+2 weeks pregnant and uncomfortable. I have gestational diabetes and I'm worried about the weight of the baby. I've tried everything in the past 2 weeks to get this going. I've been walking everyday, having sex, pumping my breast for nipple stimulation, aromatherapy, I even wasted money getting a maternity acupressure massage. Yesterday I was having consistent contractions every 9 min. When I saw my dr he stripped my membranes, hoping it would work I came home and relaxed. All it did was cause cramping for a couple of hours but then the cramping and contractions just stopped. I asked my dr if he could induce me now cuz of the diabetes but he rather wait to see if I go into labor on my own. I'm now considering castor oil but I'm sure there's other things I can try before turning to castor oil as a last resort. Anyone have any ideas? Please help

Whoa! What's going on?! =)? *whew* I'm all of the sudden having a BURST of energy!! It feels great, but random. All my pregnancy I've felt SO tired and mopey and exhausted, but today I'm very energetic, Don't wanna clean or anything like that lol, buuut.. i have been jumping up and down, and doing squats to try and lower the baby, and trying some maternity acupressure. 2 weeks ago I was 1cm and 50% effaced, haven't been checked since then, but I did have an ultra sound, a week ago the baby was practicing breathing, and measuring large, he was already 7lbs (I was 36 weeks). I went through nesting (last week), been having alot of period cramps and BH, ESP. after sex, moving alot, etc. Last week I had frequent BM towards the beginning of the week, then i had NONE, and then last night I had horrible *WARNING - TMI** diahrrea (sorry!!). Annnd last night I also was up ALL night, for no reason, just couldn't sleep. The doctor said they wont stop labor if it happens because the baby is so large, and he could come any day, and now I'm just over 37 weeks. I'm ready to get this show on the road!!! Did anyone else have these things happen just before labor?! Pardon my energy, I feel great, for ONCE in 9.5 months!

Naturally Induce Labor? I am 38 weeks pregnant and I am tired of being pregnant. I want to hold my son already plus all my maternity clothes wont fit anymore. Any ideas on how to naturally induce labor? we've tried: acupressure, intercourse, and drinking 4 glasses of Cumin (its a spice) in hot water. I've heard Castor oil isn't safe so I wont try that. PLEASE HELP tried 2 cans of pineapple and 1 cup of red raspberry tea. the pineapple gave me some contractions but not enough to do anything. i did learn neither should be taken before bedtime. ok so I tried the primrose last night and still nothing. he's gonna just be stubborn like his daddy. sigh. well i guess i'm just gonna have to wait.

Which sex position is most useful for inducing labour? I am 40 weeks tomorrow, getting kind of distraught because 2 weeks ago I had an appointment and there were no signs of labour. I don't have contractions, no bloody show or anything. I have been walking 2 miles a day, drinking red raspberry leaf tea, using an exercise ball, eating pineapple and kiwi, pizza and hot curry, having sex every day, warm baths, squats, nipple stimulation, acupressure points etc. and nothing seems to be working!!! I am hoping to get a membrane sweep at my appointment tomorrow but my midwife said if the baby isn't further down she won't be able to perform one. I know its normal to go up to 42 weeks but I am so uncomfortable and I am due so close to Christmas I don't want to go into labour on Christmas. 10 days after my due date is Christmas, then boxing day and that's on the weekend so it would be closer to New Years Eve I would be induced I think... and I don't know how much longer I can take it. My hips hurt all the time, my pelvis hurts, back hurts and I can't get comfortable - mood swings are unbelievable, over nothing. (Poor hubby) Is there ANYTHING I can do? Seriously.. any specific sex position to help the process along or anything? I don't want to try any herbs or caster oil as I think there are more negatives than positives but I would prefer to not be induced as I don't want to go in labor on Christmas (skeleton staff at the maternity ward), don't want to have to spend all those extra hours at a hospital when I could go through early stages of labour at home and I most certainly do not want a c-section!!
