Indigestion, sore foot & reflexology? Hi, I suffer from indigestion every now and then (bit too regular for my liking!) but this has lasted past 2 days and shows no sign of stopping! I have a really sore upper back with a lot of tingling, had chest pain which is now mostly gone, burping, a sense of fullness, nausea, headache, strange feelings/rumblings in my digestive area and a sore left foot (weird to include right?). Regarding my foot, this has happened before where my foot (left, the same both times) really aches to the point that I have to limp because it hurts to walk on it. Just to give you an idea where on my foot, according to reflexology (source being my mum and http://www.dorlingkindersley-uk.co.uk/static/cs/uk/11/features/reflexology/footchart.html) it is in my heart, solar plexis & diaphragm area on the foot (just hover over the words and the pic will light up the area) Any ideas? I'm sure it's indigestion but it's weird my foot hurts when I've had it, twice now. Is it associated?
Is it true about foot reflexology? I have this problem.? 3 weeks ago I stepped on a rock with my left foot and the next day it got so swollen that til this day it hurts when I walk and it swells up more when i walk..a week later when this happened I started to get bad headaches and dizzy spells, which i still get. My MD said there is no connection with my foot with whats happening to my head... so I am wondering if the reflexology theory is true and maybe there is a connection with my bad foot to what is going on with my headaches and dizzy spells. Does anyone know?

Why would one get a really bad headache after a Foot Reflexology massage? I am not one to get headaches, much less the borderline migraine I had after the first and only reflexology massage I have ever had. Not to mention that I didn't really enjoy my reflexology massage and found it rather uncomfortable, because she rubbed my feet pretty hard. But, regardless - the circumstances surrounding this event were such that I may have been dehydrated after skiing all day on the mountain and having very little water to drink. I have also heard that massages in general release toxins so it is good to be hydrated prior to having one. Anyone else heard the same or believe anything different?

In reflexology is there a specific area on the hands or feet that I could massage or manipulate for insomnia? I don't know much about reflexology, just that certain places on the hands and feet correspond to various other parts of the body and its organs. But does reflexology offer anything in the way of help for better sleep? I've had chronic insomnia following a traumatic event a decade ago. It's hard for me to fall asleep, stay asleep, or sleep deeply, and my health has really suffered as a result. No pharmaceuticals (I've tried them ALL), herbal remedies or "sleep hygiene" tips I've been given over the years has done a bit of good. I'm planning to try hynpnotherapy, EMDR and Alpha-Stim soon with a new, very experienced therapist, but was also curious about reflexology.
I have glue ear, I read that reflexology helps. How can I do this on myself? I found foot & hand charts online Look, this is posted in ALTERNATIVE HEALTH which means the answer I am looking for is not "GO SEE A DOCTOR" Look, I'm 19. I've had ear infections my WHOLE LIFE the doctor has never changed that. If someone knows I am desperately in need of some advice here. Thanks. Glue ear is a painless condition in which thick, sticky fluid collects behind the eardrum. The fluid blocks the middle part of the ear and can cause impaired hearing. It usually affects children and is also known as: Chronic otitis media with effusion (OME) Secretory otitis media Middle-ear effusion The thick fluid prevents normal movement of the small bones in the middle ear that are necessary for hearing. Glue ear is common in children because of the nature of their eustachian tubes, the tubes that connect the ears with the back of the throat. Different kinds of fluid may be present behind the eardrum, ranging from a yellow liquid to a thick, white material that resembles glue (hence the name, glue ear). Left untreated, glue ear can: Cause temporary hearing loss Contribute to delayed speech development in young children Affect a child's behavior and educational progress In rare cases, cause permanent damage to hearing I have had it for MONTHS!
Why is reflexology so painful? My feet is always uncomfortable during and after my session, in particular...? the arch of my foot? does everyone find reflexology painful? I thought that it was supposed to be relaxing...until I had it done...
How should I feel the day after a foot massage? I get pedicures from a Korean salon owner. He does a foot massage as part of the service that is FABULOUS. I think he uses some form of Asian reflexology or something- it's much more than just getting a "foot rub." I look forward to it and would go daily- skip the nail polish- just for the foot massage part. The last one I had, that evening my feet were sore. The next day I felt very tired and lethargic. Is this normal? What happens when those foot nerves are worked on?
