Where can I find a pair of asian reflexology flip flops? While in Hawaii, I purchased a pair of black flip flops with a magnet. Reflexology pressure points for wrist/hand pain? Hi. I am trying to find information (a chart or detailed explanation) of the pressure points used when trying to alleviate wrist pain from repetitive motion. It's not carpal tunnel, but there is a great deal of pain after work. I got a spray from a holistic healer with eucalyptus, rosemary, lavender, clary sage, and camphor that is to be used in conjunction with reflexology, but the link she gave me to the web site detailing the pressure point location is "dead". Does anyone know where I can find a chart with reflexology locations? Actually, the healer I know is sort of "in the family", so she gave me the spray for free, so even if it doesn't work, I'm not out any money either way. As for going to a doctor for carpal tunnel, it would never happen. Here, they just cut you open and give you a temporary surgical fix. I know a woman here that has had it done six times, is no longer working there, but still has to go through therapy along with surgery every year or two. To me, that's a total waste of money, time, and a lot of pain to deal with. The reason I know it's not carpal tunnel is because I've had it ever since I broke my arm in junior high. In high school, I was sent to doctor after doctor, and they all said what I have is similar to arthritis and it will get worse in the cold...which it does. C.T. is a steady pain that doesn't change with weather changes, according to them. Thanks!

Health concern containging sharp pain in chest and someone with knowledge of Reflexology and Iridology..? Ok first off I want to tell you that I am going to school for Massage Therapy so I been learning a lot about the body.. I did some research on myself because I was a premature baby by 4 months. I already suffer from a little bit of a speech problem because of it. It came out that if a baby is very early, later as a adult they might have heart problems or lung problems... Off and on I have this sharp pain in my chest. By the heart area. Its either when I get up from laying on the floor or when I work out. I feel like I am not getting enough oxygen. Sometimes when I am just relaxed I have to take a deep breath for no reason. What gets my concern a little is that I have no been to the doctor in 3 years because I have no health insurance. In one of my classes we learned Reflexology. The points in my feet showed some things with my stomach and my lungs. In class the other day we did Iridology which is on the eyes and a black stop came up on my lung area on that. Should I be concern
How do I achieve a truly calm mood? I want to make a change this two week break. I have been feeling anxious and nervous for a while and I want to change that. I want to be the calmest person ever after the break!! Well you know what I mean, I wanna change drastically. Cuz I'm sick of the constant obsessive thinking, the sinking feeling in my stomach, the shaky voice, racing heart, the feeling that I'm on edge all the time, slight paranoia, the wanting to be alone and so forth. I want to be layed back and at ease with all people and feel calm inside and out. So far the things I have that I will do is practice meditation or imagery, I will use reflexology to massage the points to my nerves, I'll try to go to sleep early, and be mindful. Anyone else have suggestions that would reduce nervousness or anxiety or just cause a feeling of self-confidence and calmness? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. i dont wanna buy anything...btw im in high school.
Does anyone know about reflexology? I'm wondering how I exactly press against the pressure points. For example when im pressing against the thumb for the pituitary gland, my thumb aches so I was wondering if I could just use the knuckle (the first joint) of the thumb to press against it. Also just pressing against any point, my thumb aches after a little while and I have to pause. Also I know you have to search out the sore spots but what if you dont feel any but you still feel a need to give that part attention? Im not sure how firm you press it and how long. I have a book on reflexology and it says you can just do it at home or anywhere, you dont need to take a class for it. I dont randomly press anywhere, I know what each point is for. For example I massage certain points for anxiety and the points for the endocrine glands.

Reflexology and Mind over Body? So last night my feet were killing me. I was on them about 16 hours, and when I came home the, arches in the bottom of my feet were throbbing. So I thought about the Reflexology charts that name each point on the hands and feet and used it to relieve the pain not only in my feet, but also my neck, back and ribs/chest. The problem is, I have no training whatsoever and I can't tell if the charts relieved my pain or if my faith in the charts relieved my pain. What do you think? Is this a simple case of mind over body?

Indigestion, sore foot & reflexology? Hi, I suffer from indigestion every now and then (bit too regular for my liking!) but this has lasted past 2 days and shows no sign of stopping! I have a really sore upper back with a lot of tingling, had chest pain which is now mostly gone, burping, a sense of fullness, nausea, headache, strange feelings/rumblings in my digestive area and a sore left foot (weird to include right?). Regarding my foot, this has happened before where my foot (left, the same both times) really aches to the point that I have to limp because it hurts to walk on it. Just to give you an idea where on my foot, according to reflexology (source being my mum and http://www.dorlingkindersley-uk.co.uk/static/cs/uk/11/features/reflexology/footchart.html) it is in my heart, solar plexis & diaphragm area on the foot (just hover over the words and the pic will light up the area) Any ideas? I'm sure it's indigestion but it's weird my foot hurts when I've had it, twice now. Is it associated?
How oftern should I go for foot reflexology sessions before the treatments become effective? I went for my first session yesterday, and while the reflexologist did get my reflex points right, she did not explain the related organ functions to the points. And is it true that after each session, our body will start purging all toxins? How is this done?
How can I induce labor with reflexology massage? OK, let's not mince words. I am full term and I am VERY uncomfortable. I need to have this baby ASAP. I live in Houston. Has anyone ever been to Houston in the summer? If you have, you know why I am incomfortable...besides the fact that he dropped at 32 weeks and is at a station of 0 since 3 weeks ago. I feel like my hips have been dislocated. PLEASE TELL ME!!!! How can I induce labor with massage and pressure points? I am 38 and a 1/2 weeks along....not 35. I was just saying that I dropped at 32 weeks, and as of yesterday, I am at a positive station as well. Also, I cannot take warm baths or go swimming as I have already lost my mucous plug.

Do you think it would be dangerous to get a tattoo during my first trimester? I know that tattoos are generally considered contraindicated during pregnancy, but here is my question. My husband and I are trying for baby number 2 right now. There is a possibility that I could be BARELY pregnant. Like less than a month pregnant, but I haven't taken a test yet to be sure. I've decided I would like to get a small star tattoo to represent each one of my children on the medial side of my ankle (on the reflexology point related to the womb), and have been wanting to get my daughter's star done. Do you think it's early enough that a tat would be safe? Or do you think that I should wait and take a pregnancy test first? Thanks! Thanks guys. I wouldn't dream of doing anything that could possibly be dangerous, I just wasn't sure if there was any possible threat that early.
Reflexology, foot chart help pls.? okay, basically im kinda just trynna study the foot pressure point things(: i've got the chart and all but say if my neck or something i know where i've gotta do it but don't know how, do i just put pressure on it or massage it or something? taaaaaaar thanks xo
To all reflexologists: a question of growth? I am trained in reflexology and have practised for about 5 years now. It is a fantastic treatment and I love to do extra reading on it. I have over the years learnt techniques to assist with fertility problems and allowing for shortened childbirth etc. Today I read that by stimulating the pituatary point, that increased levels of human growth hormone may be released into the body, thus allowing for an increase in height. While this does sound as realistic to me as other reflexology theories, I`m interested to hear some opinions from other healthcare proffessionals.
Swollen foot due to pregnancy or something else? Weeks ago a knot appeared on my arch of my foot that really hurt. Went to the chiropractor because I figured my balance was changing. He worked on me and said put ice on it. Went to the massage therapist. She worked on my feet a little but said she couldn't do more because of some foot reflexology pressure points doing harm to pregnancy. Now I am 6 months pregnant and vacationing in Hawaii where the weather is warm. My knot is still there and my foot has really swollen up and it is painful to walk. I've had ice on it and have had it elevated for long hours at a time. Is this pregnancy related--just ONE foot? Or do you think my balance is just way off? It feels like my tendons are very swollen. I think I will see a doctor when I get back but I don't know what he could do for me. Any advice? Thanks.

Was this guy creepy or am I making it up? I was at this little party thing at my college and we were watching a short slide with film and this adult guy kept talking to me even though I barely paid attention to him but he didn't notice or care. He kept talking to me - for FOUR hours. See, after the first hour where I acted pretty much like a wall, I afterwards started talking to him. By the time every one left and some girls practicing dance came in, he kept touching my hands A LOT (he wouldn't let go... every time I moved my hands away he grabbed them again) and said he was a massage therapist who likes to make women feel warm and comfortable. It really creeped me out. He kept touching me on my body talking about reflexology and about how well I may feel comfortable with guys to the point of kissing them. I told him I've never kissed anyone so I could change the subject but then he touched me on my lips with his fingers and said I'd probably be awkward at kissing - that I'm not in my "comfort zone. Then he tried to kiss me. Every time I said I needed to go somewhere (and I really did - I ended up missing it) he kept saying I was making up excuses. Eventually he asked me to go with him to a restaurant. He's a grown-up in his 30s or 40s and married. I'm 19 and he wanted to drive me somewhere. Of course I said no. It took me FOREVER to make him leave. I'm so creeped out. What do I do? I'm going to see him again at the next party (they have one every week and I always go). *Shudders* Thanks for the advice. My mother (I told her over the phone) tells me he's manipulating me and I'm being too nice in not leaving (though I tried). She tells me not to stop going to the parties because then he'd be controlling me in making me scared of seeing him there again. I think he's there because he's a dance teacher. (He kept trying to dance with me... and he said he'd give me a free massage, but I said no thanks.) I do have a friend in charge of the whole party - I guess I should stick by her from now on. But I just feel so creeped out by the whole thing. My mother says that all girls go through this sort of thing and we just have to learn how to deal with these situations. Great advice mama... *rolls eyes* I bet she's never had a guy this creepy before... I mean, he was touching and rubbing my hands and arms and stuff... Ew...
how true are these healing methods? These are the following healing method we have at present: 1. Iridology- it claims to diagnose disease by examining the iris, the colored portion of the eye. 2. Reflexology- reflexologist rubs, massage & applies deep pressure to the specific points of the body to relieve certain symptoms. But I did tried the foot massage once, and the only relief I got are sore foot, I can hardly walk after the session. 3. Chiropractic- The system of healing developed by an Iowa grocer named Daniel Palmer, who was jailed for illegal practice of medicine in 1906. He believe all diseases were caused by spinal misalignment. 4. Aromatheraphy- based on the absurd notion that massaging various plant oils into skin or inhaling their odors can heal disease. 5. Naturopathy- The belief that patient get rid of the disease with little or no help from drugs but through diet, exercise and proper habits? 6. Acupuncture-Ancient system of healing relies on the stimulation of points in the body 7. Taheebo tea-

Reflexology Question, feminine problems? What can this mean? OK I am currently studying massage therapy and aesthetics. I am learning a small amount about reflexology, as of right now I am only learning where the points are. When someone applies pressure to the ovary, uterus and fallopian tube points it puts me into tears. It hurts severely!! I have a lot of problems with my period and right now (I am only 19) they aren't doing anything serious about it...they just keeping switching birth controls on me thinking I'm not regular but I get horribly sick, it isn't about being regular. I cramp so bad I can't walk, I get sick and can't keep food down, I pass HUGE clots, I have real bad sharp pains, It's hard to function. I even cramp the week before and after my period. A few relatives have Endo and a couple of my cousins have cysts on their ovaries. I'm not trying to LOOK for something to be wrong I would just like to know what this means, if anything at all and if any of this ties in together? I look forward to having children later in life and I am kind of worried because I don't want to jeopardize it. I would appreciate as much information and advice as possible!! Thank YOU!!
If tickling had such a positive effect on me, is it okay to ask her to continue this special treatment? To get a full explanation on this question, please read one of my previous questions called, "Can I ask my Masseuse friend to try tickle therapy on me?" ======================================... For many months, I have been suffering from an overwhelming amount of stress to the point that I cried non-stop for many days and was exhausted (I suffer from winter blues every winter). Eventually, it became so bad that I couldn't even laugh and there were many times that I craved so much to laugh, but couldn't. I love to laugh because everyone knows how great it feels. It's healthy and it helps to relieve stress and pain. Anyway, I have heard of the existence of tickle-therapy and after finding some stuff on it on the Internet, I suggested this new type of massage to my friend (whom is also a qualified masseuse) and asked her if she would try combining some tickling with my normal massages/reflexology. I was so happy when she agreed to try tickle-therapy on me because ever since she did, I have felt no more stress, worries, fears or sadness and cannot stop smiling. I can think A LOT more clearly for the first time in months and am finally beginning to get my life back on track. I find it so much easier to smile and laugh now and the more I laugh, the happier and healthier I feel. Before my masseuse friend tickled me during my massage, I could barely even smile because I was feeling so heavily miserable from stress. I was about ready to collapse. I didn't think it would be a problem suggesting this idea to her as she has already tickled me more than once in the past (by accident) and she laughed along with me, thinking it was funny. So, when she was tickling me on purpose during the massage, she was laughing along with me too. Anyway, the moral of my story is, the massage made my body feel relaxed and refreshed, while the tickling helped me to laugh and release my stress and troubles, at the same time, releasing endorphines and Seratonin into my body (the human body's natural happy chemicals). My question is this...if tickling combined with my massages/reflexology had such an AMAZINGLY POSITIVE effect on me, do you think she would agree to continue this special treatment, even if I was the only one she did tickle therapy on?
why cant i do this as a career? Why does it feel like all my training was all in vain? I have studied doing Complementary Therapies eg. massage, reflexology, aromatherapy etc for two years and nobody wants my services, well a lot of people dont its only a few that do, why does nobody like me or seem interested, i feel like its all been in vain and i am so miserable. Its like God doesnt want me to do this as a career, he makes everything and everyone seem and look fine and like it was all for nothing and will never come in handy, cos he is the healer and when people become christians or if they are they wont use my services because there was no point if God brings peace and healing, what can i do, was it all pointless will i never get to use it once they find out about JESUS, i feel so miserable, i blame God for this i feel its all pointless now, why wont God allow me to do this as a career?
