I have glue ear, I read that reflexology helps. How can I do this on myself? I found foot & hand charts online Look, this is posted in ALTERNATIVE HEALTH which means the answer I am looking for is not "GO SEE A DOCTOR" Look, I'm 19. I've had ear infections my WHOLE LIFE the doctor has never changed that. If someone knows I am desperately in need of some advice here. Thanks. Glue ear is a painless condition in which thick, sticky fluid collects behind the eardrum. The fluid blocks the middle part of the ear and can cause impaired hearing. It usually affects children and is also known as: Chronic otitis media with effusion (OME) Secretory otitis media Middle-ear effusion The thick fluid prevents normal movement of the small bones in the middle ear that are necessary for hearing. Glue ear is common in children because of the nature of their eustachian tubes, the tubes that connect the ears with the back of the throat. Different kinds of fluid may be present behind the eardrum, ranging from a yellow liquid to a thick, white material that resembles glue (hence the name, glue ear). Left untreated, glue ear can: Cause temporary hearing loss Contribute to delayed speech development in young children Affect a child's behavior and educational progress In rare cases, cause permanent damage to hearing I have had it for MONTHS!
Why does my foot itch? I've got a really annoying itchy spot on the sole of my left foot, in the arch, just above the heel. It's been there for a couple of days. It's not desperately itchy, just constantly feels like it needs a bit of a scratch. It started following a bad fibromyalgia pain, when my ankle felt like it was being used as a post for nails to be banged into. The pain was awful, and once it was gone I was left with this itchy spot under my foot. I've looked it up on the reflexology chart and it tallies with the small intestine - which would be a fair assumption at the mo' - but when I worked the spot rather than scratching it had no effect, it only seems to want a little scratch now and then. I wondered if maybe there's a lymph drainage spot in there or something, as that would also tie in with what I'm going through, and feels much more like the sort of feeling I've got. I've just not found a lymph thingy down there before. Any ideas?
Reflexology Question? I have been having some discomfort and cramping in my abdomn area for the past couple months and over the last month or so I niticed my feet have been hurting when I stand. I looked up the reflexology chart and according to it, it is my small intestine. I question is, would massaging that area of the foot help or hinder? Or does it really matter? At this point and time, I just can not afford to go to a doctor. I had these stomach cramps about a year ago, went to the doctor and he could not find anything the matter. I have a relativly healthy diet. I eat very little if any meat, as many fresh and raw fruits and veggies as I can. I think it might be due to stress.
The outside of my left foot has been bothering me for weeks...? and i read on a reflexology chart that this area rules the lower digestive track....is there a link? Does pain in this area mean that I may have something worong internally? It's like a crampy, muscle pain in my foot....not a sharp pain....it really bothers me when I am walking or jogging....
Could someone explain "Referral charts" in connection with Reflexology. I've looked at Eunice Ingham's book. ? I've grasped what referral areas are but they want me to link it to foot and referral charts. I'm stuck please help.

Reflexology and Mind over Body? So last night my feet were killing me. I was on them about 16 hours, and when I came home the, arches in the bottom of my feet were throbbing. So I thought about the Reflexology charts that name each point on the hands and feet and used it to relieve the pain not only in my feet, but also my neck, back and ribs/chest. The problem is, I have no training whatsoever and I can't tell if the charts relieved my pain or if my faith in the charts relieved my pain. What do you think? Is this a simple case of mind over body?
